Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN with a GA or compact license for a day shift hospital position requiring at least 2 years of experience. Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required BLS and NIHSS certifications required ACLS and CPI certifications preferred Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management Central line blood draw and PICC line management experience preferred Experience starting and maintaining IVs preferred Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred Telemetry monitoring experience (on-unit and remote) preferred Experience with Rapid Response/Code team protocols Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Experience with nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care Experience with surgical drain management Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred No prior travel experience required Responsibilities Medical-Surgical unit caring for general med-surg, peritoneal dialysis, and radial band recovery patients (no PCI) Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed Patient ratio of 1:6 Epic charting system preferred Provide direct patient care for a general medical-surgical population including peritoneal dialysis and radial band recovery patients No schedule requests or block scheduling accommodations permitted Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day) Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized prior to starting the assignment No RTO permitted during orientation week Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Former Piedmont perm, PRN, or internal staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler Travelers who cancelled or were released from a Piedmont assignment must complete one assignment outside of Piedmont before reapplying First-time travelers are welcome to apply Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-774987 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler, LLC.
