Administrative Coordinator 2-4 (CPG)

Position Summary The LMVC is seeking an individual to fill the Administrative Coordinator vacancy in our Licensing Department. Administrative Coordinators are expected to have a good working knowledge of the license requirements for motor vehicle/recreational product dealers, manufacturers, distributors, as well as the financing of these products and GAP/Vehicle Protection products. They must develop or possess effective verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with supervisors, team members, agency personnel, and licensees. Competencies Accepting Direction: The ability to accept and follow directions from those higher in the chain of command. Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas. Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in administrative services. Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience. Job Duties Examine application packets submitted (on behalf of both in-state and out-of-state entities) for licensure to ensure compliance with statutory mandates of the LMVC law and the MVSF Act, as well as the requirements of the rules and regulations promulgated under the provisions of the LMVC and the MVSF. Investigate, research and analyze areas of responsibilities of motor vehicle dealer and recreational product dealers to determine if other dealers have a right of protest pursuant to the statute. Issue right of protest notices to the dealers of their statutory rights. Set up a monitoring system for the statutory time frame for protest. If a protest is received, assist in the setting of the formal hearing. If no protest is received, notify the appropriate parties and allow them to proceed. Investigate and analyze franchise agreements, debt waiver or debt forgiveness agreements, vehicle protection agreements for statutory compliance and/or violations of statute. Review documents to determine eligibility for and issue licenses for all LMVC and MVSF applicants to do business in the state of Louisiana. Advise applicants and/or licensees of status of application and/or requests relative to requisite information for further disposition of same. Maintain and safeguard required records on all licenses. Assist Investigations Division with special investigations, preparation of reports of fraud and preparation for administrative hearings in the denial of initial licensure. Create and/or index digital image of required documentation. Position Specific Details Appointment Type: Probational – up to 24 months Career Progression: This position may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 2, 3, or 4. Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. How to Apply No Civil Service test score is required.
