Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing our therapists the flexibility to work from home while also engaging with clients during necessary on-site visits to veterans' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health evaluations and assessments, including thorough investigations into clients' criminal, substance abuse, and mental health histories to inform a comprehensive treatment plan.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to provide a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual receives the support they need.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate standard practice guidelines for specific diagnoses, while providing therapy, therapeutic counseling, and education.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention services, including emergency consultation for patients experiencing acute mental health crises during business hours.
• Evaluate suicide risk with clinical precision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to state regulations and ethical standards.
• Write detailed clinical reports and maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in continual professional development to stay updated with best practices in mental health care and improve the efficacy of treatment provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses heavily on supporting mothers and families, as well as individuals struggling with co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an independent license to practice in the state of residence (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
• Demonstrated passion for the mental health field and a commitment to improving behavioral health outcomes.
• Ability to work independently while managing a comprehensive caseload efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, specifically for electronic records and telehealth environments.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in mental health assessments, crisis intervention, community outreach, and substance abuse counseling.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of mental health and chemical dependency issues.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and efficient documentation practices.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license for necessary on-site visits.
