Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This is a full-time, onsite position for the 26/27 school year, offering the chance to work closely with a supportive staff in a general education setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with high school students with varying learning abilities
• Knowledge of current instructional strategies and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with students, parents, and fellow educators
• Ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to high school students placed in general education classrooms (approximately 16 students on caseload)
• Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs in collaboration with general education teachers
• Assess student performance and progress; maintain accurate records and data for IEP compliance
• Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and staff planning sessions
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and strategies for success
