Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, Learning and Development (L&D) Manager, the Analyst II works in a lead capacity to develop and deliver complex technical and human-related skills training for employees across DCA. Works both independently and collaboratively. The incumbent researches best practices for relevant L&D content, evaluates training efficacy through learner engagement, and implements practical recommendations for improvement. The Analyst II researches emerging methodologies, developments impactful curriculum, and evaluates opportunities to improve curriculum quality. The incumbent is involved regularly in cross functional workgroups, stakeholder meetings, and supports special L&D projects.

Working Conditions
This position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. The position is located in Natomas and includes free parking.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

1. Describe your experience planning, developing, and delivering instructor-led, virtual and/or eLearning-based training. Include examples of your process to develop content and present learning concepts to diverse audiences. Explain what tools and techniques you use to keep participants engaged and to ensure the material is retained.
2. Describe a time you experienced challenges during a presentation or instructional opportunity. What were the issues, what workarounds did you implement, and what were the results of your actions?
3. Share an example of how you collaborated with team members and/or cross-functional teams (e.g. departmental learners, clients, stakeholders) on a project. Describe your role, the tools and methods utilized, and how you ensured the final product met the customer's needs.
