Senior Payroll Analyst
Location: Greater Cincinnati / Northern Cincinnati Area
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are working with a large, established organization in the Greater Cincinnati area that is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join its payroll team.
This position will play a key role in supporting payroll operations, systems, compliance, and internal users. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on payroll experience along with the ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze payroll data, support system changes, and assist other members of the payroll team.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day payroll operations and help ensure payroll systems remain accurate and compliant.
- Research and resolve more complex payroll questions and escalations.
- Provide support and guidance to payroll team members and internal business partners.
- Monitor and manage payroll-related requests and issues through an internal ticketing/workflow system.
- Analyze payroll reports and provide information to internal stakeholders.
- Document payroll processes, business requirements, and system changes.
- Assist with payroll system enhancements, testing, validation, and implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and system functionality.
- Work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, and other internal teams as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4+ years of payroll experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience supporting employees or internal customers with payroll-related questions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business applications.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with enterprise payroll systems.
- Payroll tax experience.
- Experience supporting payroll system implementations, enhancements, or testing.
