Accounting ClerkWe are looking for an accounting clerk to join our growing department. You'll be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information for our company. Our ideal candidate has basic knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll.Furthermore, we are looking for a "team player" who is willing to learn new things. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.This position is initially based in the office, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule upon completion of training and demonstration of successful job performance. Opportunities for career growth and advancement are also available.Essential FunctionsAccounts PayableProcess Accounts Payable for multiple locations Enter invoices and reconcile against supporting documentationProcess invoice payments via check, ACH, or other methodsCommunicating with vendors as needed to properly process APsMonthly credit card allocationsPayrollReconcile expense reports and receiptsProcess payroll for multiple entitiesObtain and maintain subcontractor paperwork as requiredAccounts ReceivableRecord customer deposits (checks/credit cards/incoming ACH)Provide clerical support to the AR team through invoice preparation, credit memo processing, and transaction correctionsGeneralBasic financial transaction analysis as requestedSupport the Accounting Team as backup for key accounting functionsKeep company financial information confidentialProvide general accounting and administrative support, including assisting with sales tax filings, supporting 1099 reporting, maintaining organized accounting records, and managing invoice submissions from the shared inbox, along with other related tasks that ensure smooth departmental operationsQualificationsFundamental understanding of bookkeepingBookkeeping or accounting college-level coursework or similar preferred but not requiredExperience with QuickBooks
