Overview Registered Nurse – Short Stay travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Guaranteed hours 48 per week with a 3x12-hour day shift schedule. Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative/procedure nursing care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with diverse health care needs
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret ECG rhythms, recognize distress, and respond appropriately in emergencies
• Deliver targeted education to patients and families before discharge and coordinate discharge planning as part of the care plan
• Apply clinical knowledge to post-anesthesia and post-procedure recovery, including assessment, documentation, and collaboration with the care team
• Administer medications and manage equipment appropriate to the perioperative and recovery period
• Document care in the designated electronic health record (EPIC) and adhere to hospital policies and chain of command

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score required
• Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in the field; prior med-surg experience in the last two years preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in pre- and post-operative diagnostic cath lab preferred
• Epic EMR experience required (current Epic experience)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative and recovery environment
