Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking a Float Registered Nurse to provide expert patient care across multiple units including Medical Care, Post-Surgical, and Intermediate Care Units. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to respond effectively to evolving patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans within the scope of practice outlined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  
  
• 
  Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating effective crisis management skills.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Recent hospital experience within the past five years, with at least two years of medical surgical nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Possess an Oregon nursing license or be willing to obtain one.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications or be willing to obtain.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to float between Medical Care, Post-Surgical, and Intermediate Care Units.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong teaching, communication, and critical thinking skills.
