Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <40 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Hackensack Meridian Health.

Additional Details:

Failed fit tests due to facial hair and the inability to shave automatically disqualifies clinician from proceeding.

Required Skills/Experience: 1+ years of ICU experience required. Previous experience with ventilators required.

Unit Details: Provides respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment for hospitalized patients with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system. Includes diagnostic evaluation, intubation assistance, and ventilator set-up and management.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required. No on-call required.

Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floor.

Required Credentials: Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.

7 days maximum time off

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
