Senior Project Manager (Office of Management, Budget, & Grants)

Responsibilities Vacancy is in the Office of Management, Budget, and Grants. Under administrative direction, manages a significant project within the grants department and coordinates grants through their lifecycle (i.e. application, award, implementation, reporting) ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions. Manages administrative aspects of awarded grants, including tracking, reporting finances, and project outcomes using our online grants system (EUNA) and financial system (MUNIS). Coordinates and communicates with project teams and other city departments (e.g. Finance) to ensure grant‑funded projects are progressing as planned. Provides oversight and ensures compliance with all grant implementation and reporting as required by funders, e.g. Federal and State government, foundation/corporate donors. HUD experience is preferred. Develops and maintains professional relationships with grant‑making organizations. Generates, analyzes, and disseminates reports documenting grant utilization and outcomes. Provides training and guidance to departments/staff around grant processes and management. Oversees preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational goals. Maintains and updates commonly used grant portals. Provides RFP support for on‑call grant‑writer list, evaluates grant‑writer proposals, and researches and identifies potential sources of grant funding from both public and private entities. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Finance, Economics, Project Management or a closely related field five (5) years of full-time, responsible professional experience significantly related to grants management, grant compliance, or management of grant‑funded project or programs. In the absence of a four-year degree, full-time, professional direct experience in the specific area of assignment may be substituted for the above educational requirement on a basis of one (1) year of experience for each year of the educational requirement.
