Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Anacortes, Washington . This is an attractive opportunity for an EM APP looking to step away from the typical 10- or 12-hour rotating schedule. Coverage is Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM , with approximately 10 shifts per month in a well-supported community Emergency Department. The assignment begins November 1, 2026 . Opportunity Highlights Anacortes, Washington November 1 start Monday–Friday coverage 11:00 AM–7:00 PM 8-hour shifts Approximately 10 shifts per month ~17,500 annual ED visits ~2–2.5 patients per hour Physician + APP staffing model Level II Stroke Center Temporary privileges available Schedule Monday–Friday 11:00 AM–7:00 PM Approximately 10 shifts per month With an eight-hour weekday schedule and no currently listed weekend or overnight APP shifts, this assignment offers a particularly appealing structure for an experienced Emergency Medicine APP. Clinical Practice You’ll practice in an established community Emergency Department caring for patients presenting with acute illness and injury while working alongside Emergency Medicine physicians and hospital resources. The environment includes: Approximately 17,500 ED visits annually 13 ED treatment beds Approximately 2–2.5 patients per hour Level II Stroke Center Access to inpatient, diagnostic, surgical and specialty resources The combination provides meaningful Emergency Medicine practice within a more manageable community setting. Requirements 1–3 years of Emergency Medicine experience NCCPA or applicable NP board certification Active Washington license ACLS,PALS,ATLS Ability to obtain hospital privileges Credentialing An active Washington license must be in hand before the hospital will begin the credentialing process . Temporary privileges are available, with an estimated 30–60 day pathway for qualified candidates.
