Experience: 5+ years Employment Type: Full-time Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 remote Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (dependent on experience). This role is also eligible for an annual performance‑based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed. P2S Commissioning (Cx) is a rapidly growing team focused on delivering high-performance building systems across the built environment. We are seeking a Commissioning Agent with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach to evaluating and optimizing building system performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD)
• Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures
• Identify, document, and track issues throughout all project phases and support resolution
• Execute and oversee functional performance testing of building systems
• Lead commissioning coordination meetings with Owners, Engineers, General Contractors, Sub Contractors, and Facilities Personnel
• Prepare clear, organized reports summarizing project progress, test results, and system performance
• Support owner training and documentation of systems and operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• CxA (ACG) or CCP (BCA) or BCxP (ASHRAE) required.
• Project management experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel up to 30%
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial buildings
• Working knowledge of building systems, including:
• HVAC – Airside and Water Side
• Central Utility Plants
• Plumbing/Piping
• Electrical systems – Power and Lighting
• Fire protection
• Controls and instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Commissioning and retro-commissioning experience
• Building envelope commissioning experience
• Experience working within a consulting engineering environment
• Strong client-facing experience

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with testing equipment, data loggers, and commissioning tools
