Associate Director, Market Engagement - Vaccines & ID (flu)

Associate Director of Market Engagement supporting Merck's vaccines and infectious disease commercial teams. Develops data-driven insights for influenza product launch and portfolio growth, translating business strategy into analytics solutions using advanced AI and machine learning methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with US and global marketing teams to align analyses and insights with brand strategy and business objectives
- Translate stakeholder business questions into well-defined analytical use cases and data-driven recommendations
- Analyze diverse healthcare data sources to generate actionable insights supporting commercial decisions for influenza product
- Propose appropriate analytical approaches, AI/ML techniques, and modeling strategies with clear understanding of trade-offs
- Synthesize analytical findings into compelling stories and visualizations for executive and cross-functional stakeholder audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or Public Health
- 5+ years analytics or data science experience in pharma, biotech, or healthcare; vaccines experience preferred
- Proficiency with Python, R, SAS, SQL or equivalent tools for data analysis and model development
- Advanced skills in statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, and AI/Agentic AI applications
- Strong experience with patient-level and healthcare data sources including claims, EMR/EHR, and secondary databases
- Excellent communication and data storytelling ability for senior and non-technical audiences
- Track record managing multiple concurrent analytics initiatives in matrixed, cross-functional environments
