Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Facilities Technician position. Type: Full time, Contract to Hire Duration: 12 months Location: Amityville, NY, 11701

As a Facilities Technician you will be: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Basic computer skills. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

Ideal Candidate will have: Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Working knowledge of a CMMS Electrician (Journeyman / Master) Specialized training (Plumbing, HVAC, etc.) Experience working in a manufacturing/office environment Good communication skills and teamwork
