Business Analyst / Technologist For Trading Data Analytics

At an expert level lead data driven analysis by extracting, normalizing, and analyzing large data sets providing solutions for Transaction Cost Analytics. Create data models and visualizations to refine trading strategies and assists the team through all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Source and normalize large datasets from internal and external sources.
• Analyze and provide actionable intelligence to mature trading strategies.
• Using Tableau, create visualizations that easily explain complex data sets.
• Build and maintain database structures and relationships
• Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives including timelines and internal standards. Works on complex projects and provides innovative solutions.
• Follow the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) ensuring compliance throughout the process and code deployment.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
• 4-6+ years’ experience extracting actionable results supporting trading models from large data sets, structured and unstructured, using database query tools, including Python, SQL, PL/SQL programming.
• Familiarity of quantitative financial and statistical concepts.
• Proficient in equity, fixed income, currency, and derivative securities.
• Strong understanding of Trade lifecycle and OMS / EMS systems such as CRD a definite plus.
• Experience with CRD’s database model considered a plus.
• Strong technical skills, including application and underlying technical architecture and database mappings to support business workflows.
• Proven independent and focused individual with a demonstrated ability to develop creative, innovative solutions to meet business needs.
