Business Analyst

Defines business/system requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues. Participates in business analysis project planning and management by documenting and maintaining plans, managing issue logs and preparing project documentation. Analyzes current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes. May also oversee the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. Provides technical and business knowledge to clients. Keeps abreast of technological and competitive developments. Conducts research on industry practices and standards and other benchmarking data. Codes and maintains business application programs from user instructions or formal functional specifications. Experience in the analysis and testing phases in the development cycle. In addition having experience of 3 to 6 years.

Must-haves:

• Excel formula functions (VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH)
• Data Analysis
• Experience identifying issues through testing

Nice to have:

• Financial Crimes background
• Exposure or knowledge of Screening Systems
• Experience putting together PPT decks for distribution

What type of background would you like this person to have? How many years of experience are required? Technical / analysis background (intermediate experience). 3-5 years’ experience.

Is this role supporting a specific project or initiative, which project or initiative is this role supporting? AML Sanctions screening.

What will the interview process look like (phone screen, face to face, meet with team, how many rounds, etc)? Is there a test in the interview the candidate should be prepared for? 1-2 rounds, Zoom video call.

What are the working hours, time zone? 8hrs (9am to 5pm), EST time zone. Hybrid 2 days/week preferred at JAB.

What is the duration of this contract and is there a chance it will be extended? 12 months.

What training will be provided for this contractor and what are first day expectations? We will train the contractor in the goal / tasks of the project they will be assisting with. And, will walkthrough their day to day tasks: reviewing results of the testing, expectations, what is considered an “issue” in testing that should be escalated / documented.

What is the day to day of the person going to look like? Please be specific. Contractor will be assisting the team with the onboarding of the vendor. The vendor will be in a supervised testing period where the contractor will review results, analyze, and document issues as identified.

Hiring Manager Key Reminders:

• All contractors will need to have their own laptop and will access client's network remotely through VDI/DaaS.
• Client's has an 18-month tenure policy for contractors. Once contractors reach their 18-month tenure limit, they are required to take a 90-day break in service. After the 90-day break they can return.
• As the hiring manager, it will be your responsibility to request/schedule interviews through Beeline. Please make sure you have a well-planned interview process and include all parties who need to be involved.
