Pinnacle Gi Partners Medical Receptionist Job Type: PT-24 Pay: From $18.00 per hour Location: Troy & Macomb, Michigan Shift: Mon-Fri, No nights or weekends. Holidays off with pay! We are seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist for our Troy/Macomb surgery centers. Occasional travel is required between location with advanced schedule assignments. Some the role responsibilities: Answers the telephone, triages calls appropriately and takes messages when needed Schedules patient appointments Obtains and verifies patient demographic and financial information Answers questions as able, referring clinical questions to RNs or Clinical Coordinator Enters/verifies patient information in the computer system Completes all necessary insurance information Processes and prepares the outgoing mail Performs health record audits and/or assists as required with authorizations Schedules follow-up appointments, outpatient procedures and tests and makes referrals to physicians as necessary Requests medical records/reports from referring physicians Confirms patient procedure appointments Mails/faxes prep brochures and other materials to patients as necessary What we are looking for: High School graduate or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT and ICD-9 coding Previous front office experience in a medical practice environment, preferred Current CPR certification preferred Must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening What we offer: A professional work environment where you can learn, enhance your skills and grow into new opportunities.
