Travel School Occupational Therapist - Tacoma, Washington
$45 - $65 per hourSoliant Health
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a dynamic school setting in Tacoma, WA. This travel position allows you to bring your expertise to diverse educational environments, helping children develop essential skills that enhance their learning and daily functioning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy services to students with a range of developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to design and implement effective intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress in compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to promote student independence
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Experience working with children in school or pediatric settings
- Ability to assess and treat developmental and sensory processing disorders
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and families
- Flexibility and adaptability for working in various school environments during travel assignments
