Bookkeeper

Job Title: Bookkeeper – Assisted Living Facility Schedule: [Full time] Reports To: Executive Director / Administrator Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our Assisted Living community. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting or bookkeeping, strong organizational skills, and an understanding of confidentiality and compliance in a healthcare or senior living setting. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Process resident billing, payments, and refunds in a timely manner Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking Process payroll and manage related documentation, as applicable Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and audit requirements Coordinate with corporate accounting, auditors, and external vendors Maintain resident financial files and ensure strict confidentiality Assist with annual audits and financial reviews Support administrative staff and Executive Director with financial inquiries Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years bookkeeping or accounting experience (healthcare or assisted living experience a plus) Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive financial and resident information discreetly Excellent communication and time-management skills What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to work in a meaningful setting serving seniors Benefits incentive #J-18808-Ljbffr
