Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and responsible Food Runner to join our team at Auntie Xita Temple City. This role is a key part of our front of house operations, ensuring excellent customer service, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Part-Time, Full-Time
• Wage: Starting at $16.9 per hour plus tips, subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholdings.

• Start Date: Upon onboarding completion. All required pre-employment notices and documents will be provided at or before the start date, as required by law.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food, beverages, sauces, utensils, and other guest requests to tables quickly and accurately.
• Confirm food items match table numbers, seat numbers, and guest orders before delivering.
• Communicate clearly with all staff to support smooth service flow.
• Assist servers by running food, refilling basic items, clearing plates, and helping reset tables as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, food running areas, dining areas, and guest-facing spaces.
• Handle guest requests professionally and notify servers or managers when additional assistance is needed.
• Follow food safety procedures when handling hot plates, raw items, cooked items, and shared service tools.
• Stay familiar with menu items, sauces, side dishes, allergens, and basic guest service procedures.
• Follow daily checklists, SOPs, opening and closing procedures, sanitation standards, safety rules, and company policies.
• Be punctual, reliable, responsive to scheduling, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a fast-paced or high-volume restaurant preferred. BBQ experience preferred.
• Strong team communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to move quickly, stay organized, and support multiple tables during busy service periods.
• Strong attention to detail, table awareness, order accuracy, and time management.
• Ability to follow instructions, food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and company policies.
• Friendly and professional attitude with a willingness to support guests and teammates.
• Flexibility to work late-night shifts, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Fluent in English. Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
