POSITION SUMMARY

Marketing Coordinator | New Orleans Marriott & Sheraton New Orleans

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Senior Marketing Manager in executing marketing initiatives across New Orleans Marriott and Sheraton New Orleans. The role assists with content creation, social media coordination, creative project support, budget administration, hotel communications, and day-to-day marketing operations. This position is designed for a self-starter who is passionate about marketing, eager to build experience within Marriott, and interested in long-term career growth within hospitality marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Coordination

• Review monthly content calendars alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and social media agency

• Provide feedback on content alignment, brand standards, and hotel priorities

• Coordinate content requests between hotel departments and agency partners

• Assist with capturing photography and video content as needed

• Maintain organized content libraries for both hotels

• Identify timely content opportunities tied to hotel events, promotions, renovations, and local happenings

Creative & Marketing Support

• Create simple marketing materials using Marriott-approved design platforms

• Assist with flyers, signage, offer sheets, presentations, event collateral, and internal communications

• Support website content updates and promotional messaging

• Coordinate creative asset requests and approvals

• Ensure marketing materials remain current and brand compliant

Marketing Operations & Administration

• Manage marketing invoices and payment tracking

• Assist with budget reconciliation and documentation

• Maintain expense tracking and agency billing records

• Organize contracts, marketing calendars, and project timelines

• Support reporting and monthly recap preparation

Property Marketing Support

• Assist with hotel promotions, activations, and special events

• Coordinate logistics for influencer visits, media opportunities, and photo shoots

• Support restaurant and bar marketing initiatives

• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, and Food & Beverage teams on marketing needs

Digital Marketing

• Participate in recurring digital marketing and paid media status calls

• Assist with tracking campaign performance and promotional priorities

• Review hotel websites, offers, and digital placements for accuracy

• Help coordinate digital asset requests and creative updates

• Develop a foundational understanding of Marriott digital marketing channels, paid media strategies, and performance metrics

Team & Department Support

• Serve as an on-property marketing resource for both hotels

• Help gather information and materials needed for ongoing marketing initiatives

• Support Associate Engagement and internal communication efforts

• Assist with special projects, renovation-related initiatives, and executive requests as needed

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

The ideal candidate is:

• A self-starter who can work independently and proactively identify opportunities

• Organized and detail-oriented

• Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines

• Interested in hospitality and hotel marketing

• Creative with strong written communication skills

• Familiar with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office, Copilot (or other AI platform)

• Eager to develop a long-term career within Marriott Marketing
