Platform Developer

Role Title: Platform Developer (100% remote)

Location: 100% remote ( If a candidate is within 45 miles of Dodgeville, WI they must be hybrid (company policy) try to find some outside or they will be onsite.

Duration: It is a 6-12-month contract to hire.

Years' Experience/Degree Requirements/Certification:
6-10 years of experience (really wanting 8-10)

Technologies/Skills - Manager is needing the following

Required Tech/Experience (Manager won't consider candidates without the following):


HM has seen tons of resume's the main falling point is them being just data engineers, ideally they would come from a devops background

1. Ideal candidate would come from a DevOps background
2. They need to have an understanding of Linux, ai prompts (Understand AI prompts, concepts, (preferred +design)
3. Candidates must be able to speak to artifact repositories
4. Must understand how to integrate and deploy CICD pipelines
5. Must have heavy python experience, SQL queries and commands
6. Spark and Hadoop are musts, will have to have demonstratable experience using both
7. Understands Data engineering
8. Code to production
9. Python Data Application Development (Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter, Zeppelin)
10. Gitlab Pipeline Development (will take GitHub but GitLab is what he really wants)
11. Git Branching Strategies
12. Experience with Airflow, AWS Glue, Redshift, AWS S3 DataLake
13. PLSQL experience
14. Data Quality Scripting (Great Expectations, Selenium)

Preferred Tech/Experience (Not required, but moves the candidate to the top of the list):

1. Github experience (would need to be a rockstar in all other areas)
2. Would take azure, but is not top of his list (if they have azure experience, he will expect them to be a rockstar in other required areas)
3. Really wanting an Architect but doesn't have the budget for it, platform architecture experience or equivalent moves the candidate to the top of the list.
