Travel Registered Nurse - Care Manager

What You'll Do:

As a Travel RN Care Manager, you'll oversee the coordination and delivery of exceptional pediatric care for up to ten or more cases daily. You'll utilize your clinical experience to assess patient needs, develop discharge plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Your leadership will drive efficient throughput, manage resource utilization, and support compliance with regulatory standards. Your role will also involve actively participating in interdisciplinary rounds, communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff, and contributing to outcome improvements and organizational change initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas (or Compact State)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience, preferably with pediatric populations
• Strong knowledge of case management, resource management, and discharge planning
• Proficiency with electronic health records, especially MIDAS and Meditech systems (preferred)
• Excellent communication, analytical, and report-building skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize cases, and manage time efficiently
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Nice to Have Skills

• Certification in Case Management or similar credentials
• Experience with Milliman (MCG) Guidelines and Interqual criteria
• CPR certification
• Prior travel nursing experience

Preferred Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong background in pediatric or complex care environments

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel as needed, including some weekend and after-hours work
• Ability to adapt assessments and care strategies to meet diverse cultural and developmental needs
