Assistant Controller

We are working with one of our clients, seeking an assistant controller to join the team. This person will be assist in managing the daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, General Ledger maintenance, monthly financial close, ensuring GAAP compliance, and support budget forecasting. This role supports the Controller in financial planning, budgeting, and internal control implementation. Key responsibilities include : Accounting Operations: Oversees daily accounting activities, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Month-End Close: Ensures timely and accurate closing of the financial books and records. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Overseeing agency-specific billing (e.g., media spend, production costs), ensuring accurate, timely client invoicing, and reviewing project profitability. Internal Controls & Compliance: Establishing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and managing audits. Compliance & Audits: Maintains compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control policies; assists with internal and external audits. Supervision & Operations: Mentoring and managing accounting staff, managing cash flow, and resolving account discrepancies. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting with the annual budget process and conducting variance analysis of actuals versus projected expenses. Technology & Process Improvement: Utilizes accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) to maintain records and identifies areas to improve efficiency.
