New Graduate Nurse - Summer 2026

Role Overview The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, within established nursing standards. After completing a nursing program, they must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment. The role involves educating patients and families on managing illnesses, using critical thinking to evaluate needs and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the health‑care team. They participate in safety, quality and professional development activities, ensuring compliance with regulations. The position requires a nursing diploma or associate's degree. Key Responsibilities Educate patients and families on illness management and medication use. Assess physical, psychosocial and emotional patient needs. Develop and implement care plans collaboratively, promoting patient‑centered care. Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly. Participate in safety, quality and professional activities to ensure compliance. Qualifications & Skills Completion of a nursing program and eligibility for licensure within 90 days. Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a safety‑sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.
