The Server / Line Cook Prep plays a crucial role in supporting kitchen and front-of-house operations by ensuring seamless communication, accurate food preparation, and efficient order flow. This position involves coordinating between teams during busy dinner shifts, preparing salads and cold-side items, and maintaining prep stations while complying with food safety standards. Fluency in Lao or Thai is essential for daily communication with kitchen staff, in addition to strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams to manage order flow
• Prepare salads and cold-side dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
• Wash, portion, chop, and organize ingredients for daily service
• Stock and maintain prep stations throughout the shift
• Monitor ingredient levels and alert kitchen leadership for restocking
• Review and prioritize tickets, verifying special dietary modifications and allergies
• Conduct final quality checks on orders to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines rigorously
• Support team members to maintain smooth kitchen and restaurant operations

Required Qualifications

• Valid food handler certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in restaurant kitchen operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluency in Lao or Thai for effective kitchen communication
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Customer service experience
