About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Greater Miami and the Keys Chapter. This pivotal role is focused on community leadership, representation, and fundraising, with an emphasis on external-facing activities. The successful candidate will serve as the primary community-facing leader, engaging with donors, volunteers, and community partners to advance the organization's mission. Responsibilities include leading chapter planning, driving progress toward strategic goals, and ensuring the Red Cross's presence is maximized in the community. The Executive Director will also be responsible for managing strategic relationships, including local elected officials, and will play a key role in board governance and development. Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' related experience, with a strong background in fundraising and donor engagement. The role requires a visionary leader who can build and mobilize resources, inspire collective action, and strengthen community resilience. The ideal candidate will have a deep connection to the local community, with established networks and relationships. Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) skills are a plus. The Executive Director will work closely with the Regional Leadership Team to support the achievement of regional goals and will be expected to travel as needed. Operational flexibility and the ability to work in a team are essential.
