About the Opportunity We're seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join a growing team supporting customers with order management, product support, and technical assistance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, communicating with customers, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
You'll serve as a key point of contact for customers, helping them with orders, product questions, troubleshooting, and follow-up support while working closely with engineering, production, inventory, and purchasing teams.
Responsibilities
* Process new orders, reorders, and customer inquiries, primarily through email communication
* Provide updates, order status information, and ongoing support to customers
* Assist customers with product installation, operation, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting over the phone
* Coordinate with Engineering to address escalated technical issues and customer concerns
* Work with Production to expedite orders, manage parts shortages, and monitor order releases
* Partner with Inventory and Purchasing teams to ensure proper allocation and procurement of parts
* Accurately enter and edit orders in SAP and complete required documentation
* Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and customers
Qualifications Required
* Strong customer service experience
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to learn and understand technical products and processes
Preferred
* Sales support experience
* Order processing or data entry experience
* ERP system experience (SAP or similar)
Work Environment
* Business casual, laid-back team environment
* Reporting directly to the Customer Service Manager and a designated Training Mentor
* Collaborative team consisting of approximately 15 Customer Service Representatives, 2 mentors, and 1 supervisor
* Extensive training and support provided to ensure success
