Health Readiness Resources Mental Health Assessment URGENT NEED Responsibilities Behavioral Health Specialist will assess the results and refer patients for further treatment as appropriate. Assessments shall be scheduled as tele-health and/or video appointments. Explain procedures and discuss assessment results with patients. Behavioral Health Specialist will not provide diagnostic or treatment services. Provide quality care to service members according to behavioral health and organizational protocols. Maintain real time adequate, concise, legible, and updated patient medical records that document all assessment services. Participates in provider performance audits as assigned. Complete initial and on-going Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) administered HIPAA compliance training.
