Summary:

As a Junior Staff Accountant, you'll support the daily accounting operations across multiple affiliated companies while collaborating with the Accounting Manager, CFO, and accounting team.

Responsibilities include:

·         Post and reconcile daily cash receipts.

·         Assist with daily check deposits.

·         Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports.

·         Track and follow up on outstanding customer payments.

·         Compile monthly sales, cost of sales, expenses, and financial reports.

·         Prepare and post journal entries.

·         Analyze General Ledger accounts and prepare supporting schedules.

·         Process monthly showroom commissions.

·         Prepare Sales & Use Tax returns.

·         Support Accounts Payable functions.

·         Assist with intercompany accounting transactions.

·         Provide administrative support to the accounting department.

·         Assist with incoming phone calls and direct callers as needed.

·         Support special projects and additional duties assigned by the Accounting Manager or CFO.

Required Qualifications:

·         Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment

·         Inventory accounting experience is required

·         Experience working with ERP accounting software is required

·         Intercompany accounting experience is a strong plus

·         Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams skills

·         Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

·         Working knowledge of GAAP
