Location: Southern Territory (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia)
Job Summary: The Director of Industrial will oversee the industrial sales operations within the northern territory, including North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. This role involves managing and leading a team to drive sales growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and ensure the achievement of sales targets. The Director of Industrial will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and enhancing profitability through effective leadership and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Industrial Account Managers.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Oversee the development of customer pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial, government, institutional, and OEM customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Coordinate joint calls with suppliers and customers to drive sales initiatives.
- Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for the sales team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the team’s continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Optimize sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attend trade shows, industry meetings, and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in industrial sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of electrical/lighting supplies, automation and control products, and the industrial market.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel within the northern territory as needed.
