Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support for end users across the MD Anderson main campus and affiliated facilities.

• Support upcoming building activations and go-live events, ensuring successful onboarding of users, devices, and IT services.

• Perform workstation deployments, hardware installations, configuration, and replacement activities.

• Assist with enterprise device refresh initiatives, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related hardware.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

• Support ticket-based incidents and service requests while maintaining established service level expectations.

• Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve technical issues.

• Travel as needed to satellite locations, including Sugar Land and other healthcare facilities within the system.

• Document support activities, configurations, and issue resolutions accurately.

• Provide white-glove customer service to clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of desktop support, field support, or deployment experience in an enterprise environment.

• Experience with hardware deployments, refresh projects, and workstation migrations.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, printers, and peripherals.

• Experience utilizing ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms.

• Ability to support users in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local facilities as needed

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Houston,TX.
