Position Overview The Client Advisor is a key ambassador of Abel Richard, responsible for delivering an elevated, highly personalized boutique experience that reflects the Maison’s standards of excellence, discretion, and sophistication. This role is designed for a polished luxury sales professional with a strong understanding of the New York market and a proven ability to serve high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clientele. The ideal candidate is an exceptional relationship builder, confident storyteller, and results‑driven brand representative who understands how to translate product knowledge, service, and clienteling into long‑term loyalty and sales performance. The Client Advisor will support boutique operations while cultivating new business, maintaining strong existing client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and visibility of Abel Richard within the luxury market. Key Responsibilities Deliver a best‑in‑class client experience through refined, personalized service at every stage of the selling ceremony. Represent Abel Richard with professionalism, discretion, and deep brand understanding in all client interactions. Build, maintain, and grow long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth clients, collectors, and luxury consumers. Drive boutique sales performance by achieving individual and team sales goals. Develop and execute proactive clienteling strategies, including outreach, follow‑up, appointment setting, and after‑sales service. Maintain accurate and detailed client records within CRM systems to support relationship development and business growth. Support private appointments, bespoke sales opportunities, in‑store events, and brand activations. Demonstrate strong product knowledge across handbags, fine writing instruments, and limited‑edition collections. Identify opportunities to expand the client base through networking, referrals, repeat business, and local market awareness. Partner closely with boutique leadership and team members to uphold presentation, service, and operational standards. Contribute to boutique maintenance, visual presentation, and daily operational excellence. Stay informed on the competitive luxury landscape, client preferences, and relevant cultural and market trends in New York City. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in ultra‑luxury retail sales. Prior experience in high jewelry, fine watches, haute leather goods, luxury accessories, or a comparable high‑touch luxury environment strongly preferred. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and cultivating repeat business with high‑value clientele. Established client book or demonstrated ability to build a strong luxury client base in the New York market preferred. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Impeccable personal presentation and professional presence aligned with the Abel Richard brand. High level of discretion, emotional intelligence, and service intuition. Experience using CRM systems and clienteling tools to manage and grow client relationships. Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require. Multilingual skills are a plus, particularly Mandarin, French, Arabic, or Spanish. Working Conditions The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise, packaging, visual materials, and boutique supplies up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. The schedule may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on boutique needs and peak business periods. The role requires regular use of point‑of‑sale systems, CRM platforms, computers, and other retail technology tools. The employee is expected to maintain a polished, professional appearance and consistently uphold Abel Richard service, presentation, and operational standards. This role is based in a luxury boutique environment and requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and active engagement on the sales floor.
