Customer-Facing AI Prompt Engineer (Trainee)
Erie, PA On-site for first 90 days, then remote
About Us
OttoQa is shaping the future of AI-powered call center quality assurance. Our custom prompts are the engine behind our platforms performanceand were looking for a detail-oriented, curious thinker to help us design, test, and refine them.
This is not a developer role. Instead, youll collaborate with our product team and customers to translate real-world QA challenges into precise AI instructions. If you enjoy problem-solving, pattern-spotting, and clear communication, youll fit right in.
What Youll Do
- Write, refine, and improve prompts that evaluate call center conversations
- Test prompt performance to ensure it meets customer expectations
- Translate client needs into logical, structured AI instructions
- Identify inconsistencies, fix edge cases, and optimize accuracy

Bonus Skills
- Experience in contact centers or quality assurance
- Familiarity with GPT-style AI tools
- An eye for how systems might be misused or gamed
