Work Environment

As a remote position, this role offers flexibility while allowing you to remain engaged with your colleagues. Although your work will primarily be conducted from your home office, our team prioritizes collaboration and support through regular virtual meetings and consultations. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and other counselors, ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' histories and identify effective treatment strategies.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma and build coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to each client’s needs.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress.
• Educate clients and families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources, empowering them in their healing process.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate actively in team meetings focused on improving trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated with current research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure best practices are implemented.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with survivors of trauma, including adults experiencing complex trauma and children affected by PTSD. Each client presents unique challenges, and your role will involve employing a sensitive and individualized approach to foster trust and safety within the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
• A minimum of 2 years of verified post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Experience with therapeutic techniques focused on trauma recovery.
• Outstanding communication skills, with an empathetic and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide effective support in high-stress situations.
• Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.
• A collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in crisis intervention and trauma therapy with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with group therapy facilitation and community resource networks.

Compensation and Benefits
