Assistant Controller

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the organization's financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal control environment. This individual will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while helping improve and standardize accounting processes across the organization. The Assistant Controller will also support budgeting, audits, financial analysis, system improvements, and accounting activities related to continued company growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and management reporting Review monthly financial results and investigate significant trends, discrepancies, and variances Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and in accordance with GAAP Manage general ledger activity, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end processes Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Help create consistent accounting practices and reporting standards across multiple business units Coordinate annual audit activities and work with internal and external stakeholders throughout the process Assist with financial and accounting reviews related to potential acquisitions Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into existing accounting and reporting processes Participate in ERP and accounting system implementations, enhancements, and process improvements Review operational accounting controls across areas including billing, collections, accounts payable, inventory, and receiving Maintain compliance with applicable financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Analyze cost performance and provide reporting around budget to actual variances Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience CPA preferred, but not required Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP Experience working with accounting, ERP, or financial management systems Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and resolve discrepancies Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills Ability to work with sensitive and confidential financial information Comfortable learning new accounting systems, processes, and technologies #J-18808-Ljbffr MSI Company
