At the University of Notre Dame, academic operations and data integrity are fundamental to supporting our students, faculty, and academic programs. The Office of the Registrar plays a vital role in upholding university policies, maintaining academic records, and optimizing the technology that powers course scheduling, registration, and student compliance. We are seeking an Academic Services Technology Solutions Specialist to join our team. Serving as a key technical resource within the Academic Services unit, this role delivers crucial data auditing, report development, and technology support across core academic operations. The Specialist collaborates closely with colleagues handling student registration, class scheduling, course data, classroom events, and transfer admissions, translating complex business rules and unique scenarios into effective technical and operational solutions. In this role, you will help maintain core database structures, manage reporting tools, troubleshoot daily technical issues, and partner with university stakeholders to support academic policies and student success. Key Responsibilities: Certify academic eligibility for student-athletes and student government candidates while evaluating incoming transfer student-athletes with campus compliance partners.

Maintain Banner course data structures, assist with registration setup and CLSS schedule building, optimize staff workflows, troubleshoot technology issues, and manage operational task calendars.

Support the Courseleaf product suite (CLSS, CIM, CAT, Analytics Explorer), monitor release notes, coordinate upgrades with the Office of Information Technology (OIT), and track vendor support tickets.

Audit Registrar data, write SQL/reporting queries to resolve discrepancies, manage automated Infoburst reports, and partner with campus stakeholders to develop and validate custom reports

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (4 years).

At least 3 years of professional experience.

Knowledge of databases using query tools and applications.

Experience with report writing tools such as PL/SQL Developer, Business Objects, or Tableau.

Ability to adapt and integrate changing and developing technologies.

Basic understanding of federal laws such as FERPA and SEVIS.

Highly organized, motivated, self-directing, ability to multi-task and prioritize, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and work independently and as a team.

Ability to work in the United States, now or in the future, without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience within an area of student services/student records.

Banner knowledge or the ability to acquire skills in the University's Banner system.

Experience with NCAA athletic eligibility certification process.

$62,000 - $68,000

This is a full time position, M-F 8-5. This role will begin as a fully onsite position during a 6 month acclimation and ramp-up period. After this period, the position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (up to 2 days remote) based on operational needs and team expectations.
