Press Brake Operator

Job Details Job Location: Arlington, TX 76011 Salary Range: $20.00 - $26.00 Hourly Job Summary The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. The operator ensures parts meet dimensional specifications while following safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC or manual press brake machines. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. Select the correct tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job. Program bends and steps at the machine vs being programmed by engineers and pushed to the machine. Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools. Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections. Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy. Load and unload metal sheets and finished parts safely. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean. Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain accurate production and quality records. Work with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve production issues. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately. Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Experience with CNC press brakes where bends are programed at the machine (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, Cincinnati). Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to troubleshoot machine and tooling issues. Forklift experience (if required). Working Conditions: Manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Frequent standing, bending, and lifting. Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials.
