Assistant Controller

Role Description The Assistant Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, KY, but this role is mostly work from home. What You’ll Do You’ll own the accounting processes that keep our restaurants financially healthy and operating efficiently. Primary responsibilities include: Maintain general bookkeeping for multiple restaurant locations Complete Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing Reconcile bank accounts Analyze, interpret, and reconcile the balance sheets Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements Ensure financial reporting packages are completed accurately and submitted by the 11th of each month Complete month-end close Collaborate with restaurant leadership regarding financial questions Participate in process improvements as the company continues to scale Assist with payroll administration over time (not initially) Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance as responsibilities expand Maintain accurate financial records with exceptional attention to detail and a timely response Required Experience 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Strong QuickBooks experience Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Experience preparing monthly financial statements Multi-location bookkeeping Month-end close experience Strong reconciliation skills High proficiency with Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational and responsiveness skills Within your first year, you will: Produce accurate monthly financial reporting independently Meet monthly reporting deadlines consistently Become a trusted resource for restaurant leaders Improve financial processes where opportunities exist Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Loves bringing order to details Works independently without needing constant direction Takes ownership of your work Enjoys learning Appreciates flexibility but thrives with accountability Wants long-term career growth Enjoys being part of a collaborative, values-driven team Compensation & Benefits Salary $75,000–$85,000 Benefits Include Medical benefits Paid Time Off Work from Home Professional development Career advancement opportunities Supportive leadership team Outstanding organizational culture #J-18808-Ljbffr AGI Management
