SR. PROJECT MANAGER

1. A minimum of 12+ of experience in each of the following areas, with greater consideration given to contractors/project managers with more than 7 years of experience:

o Serving in an IT project manager role, leading complex, enterprise-wide technical and/or business initiatives.
o creating project management artifacts, including project charters, project plans, timelines (MS Project or other project management software), requirements documents, project and resource planning documents, deployment plans, support plans, risk management and mitigation plans and conversion plans.

o in requirements gathering, business analysis, use case development, and creation of functional requirement documents.

2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in network architecture, protocols, and best practices, with an understanding of the unique requirements of health laboratory facilities.

3. Experience working with network infrastructure vendors, contractors, and specialized healthcare equipment providers.

12. Evaluating technologies, platforms and tools needed for project implementation considering factors like compatibility, scalability, and security. Overseeing the implementation of development methodologies such as agile, scrum, or waterfall, depending on project needs. Planning and coordinating the deployment of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases to support project requirements. Managing the integration of various IT systems, applications, and components to ensure seamless communication and interoperability. Identifying and mitigating technical risks that could impact project success, such as software bugs, security vulnerabilities or compatibility issues. Establish and foster relationships with assigned internal clients and Work with vendor(s) that will be providing equipment and other services related to the project to ensure that their devices are NYC Health Department IT and OTI If devices are not approved, work with the various NYC Health Department/OTI teams to obtain the needed approvals and installations.
