Distribution Technician II

TRC Electrical Distribution Pole Inspector

Perform visual pole inspection of electrical distribution facilities and equipment in order to compile field data collection, minor work order preparation, and maintenance reports of distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Log all completed work on poles using Oncor's standardized Excel spreadsheet.
• Record essential details: start/completion dates, pole specs, crossarm specs, transformer actions (install/remove/transfer), arrester actions, and any additional comments for clarification or extra materials.
• Visit workpoints in person as needed to verify work or review pictures provided by the contractor.
• Manage and track multiple circuits/feeders, prioritizing work based on assignments, ensuring all circuits are checked weekly.
• Adapt to different FCC (Field Construction Coordinator) workflows, whether reviewing weekly spreadsheets or verifying work via pictures.
• Provide general support to the FCC, including minor tasks such as checking dumpsters or pulling files from Oncor's Maximo system.
• Ensure spreadsheet work is prioritized and kept up-to-date before other duties are taken on.
• Maintain clear communication with the contractor and FCC to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related electric utility experience is required.
• Demonstrated communication skills to deal with internal/external clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work.
• Experience in working with customers and contractors both in person and via phone.
• Experience with appropriate standard workplace software tools (Microsoft Office).
• Required to be able work on the field 70% of the time.
• Must have a valid driver license.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range: USD $26.14 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
