We are looking for an accomplished Matrimonial Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team in New York, New York. This position is suited for a lawyer who brings solid experience in New York matrimonial disputes and is ready to take ownership of sophisticated cases while working alongside experienced practitioners. The role offers direct involvement in all phases of litigation, from early case strategy through trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.

Responsibilities:
• Lead matrimonial and family law cases through each stage of litigation, from initial filing to final resolution
• Take depositions and represent clients during deposition proceedings with thorough preparation and effective advocacy
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and other proceedings, presenting matters clearly and strategically
• Prepare litigation materials such as pleadings, motion papers, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, and related filings
• Oversee the discovery process, including document analysis, disclosure management, and resolution of contested discovery issues
• Build trial-ready cases for divorce proceedings and participate in courtroom litigation in New York courts
• Advise clients throughout active matters, providing practical guidance, updates, and litigation strategy recommendations
• Research legal issues affecting matrimonial matters and translate findings into persuasive legal arguments
• Work closely with partners and fellow attorneys to develop case strategy and manage competing deadlines in a busy practice• At least 3 years of direct experience handling matrimonial litigation matters
• Strong command of New York matrimonial law, court procedure, and related family law issues
• Proven ability to conduct and defend depositions in contested matters
• Experience representing clients at hearings and court conferences
• Prior divorce trial experience in New York courts is required
• Excellent legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy abilities
• Capable of managing matters independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative legal team
• Active admission to the New York Bar in good standing
