# Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Self-scheduling with leadership oversight. Float and call requirements apply based on unit census.

Highlights:

- High-acuity cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with 1:5-6 patient ratios in a fast-paced environment- Primary focus on pre/post-procedure cardiac patients including pacemakers, ICDs, cardiac catheterization, and stroke care- Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone- Epic (Dimensions) charting system with Pyxis medication management- 13-26 week assignments available with 36-hour orientation (must be available daily during week one)- High patient turnover (78-90 patients weekly) with team lead support for admissions and discharges- Unit may care for COVID-positive patients utilizing high-flow oxygen and BiPAP during surge periods

Requirements:

- Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)- Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience in similar high-acuity settings- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required- Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, cardiac drip management and titration, and TR band management- Experience with PCI patients, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac interventions- Must be comfortable managing 6-patient assignments and working in a fast-paced environment- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)- Epic charting experience preferred- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
