We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.Here’s what you’d do:The Regional Business Specialist – Accounts Receivable is responsible for providing backup to the Regional Business Administration Manager and interacts with branches and cross-functional teams to handle and manage accounts receivable matters.You’d be responsible for:Prepare AIA billings and compile supporting documentationEnsure invoices, schedules of values, and lien waivers are accurate and completePrepare and submit client billings for multiple cost centers in accordance with contractual deadlinesManage accounts receivable collections for multiple cost centersProcess contract change orders and ensure adherence to SOX complianceMaintain electronic filing systems using company servers and construction management softwareProvide audit support to internal/external auditors and the corporate tax teamIdentify process improvement opportunities and support implementation effortsEnsure compliance with SOX controls for all invoicing activitiesCoordinate with suppliers to obtain timely lien releasesPartner with payroll to resolve issues that could impact payment timelinesBuild and maintain positive relationships with branch offices and suppliers to support accurate, timely billingSupport month-end close activitiesContribute to operational improvements, including reducing turnaround times and streamlining workflowsDraft and distribute written communications (i.e. memos, letters, notices)Answer branch phone lines, as neededGenerate reports as requested by branch team membersMaintain electronic records for branch and project filesComplete special projects and other duties as assignedYou might be a good fit if you have:Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred)Minimum 2 years of general office or clerical experienceMinimum 2 years of accounts receivable or related experience1-3 years of construction AR experience (preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with systems such as Textura, GCPay, Procore, Trimble Pay, CMiC, JD Edwards/Oracle is a plus Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability for resultsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative, team-oriented mindsetProactive problem-solving and initiativeAdaptability and willingness to learn new systems quicklyStrong work ethic and customer service focusPhysical Demands/Requirements:Regular use of a computer and standard office equipment (laptop, phone, printer/copier)Primarily sedentary role requiring extended periods of sittingAbility to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occurWork Environment:This role will be based in an office environment.Here’s what to know about working here:At BrightView, we’re a tight-knit crew who are as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about each other.
