German Audiobook QA Reviewer [Remote]

Role Overview

Help improve AI-narrated German audiobooks by assessing whether the listening experience sounds natural, accurate, and engaging. You will review German text-to-speech narration with both the perspective of an audiobook listener and a careful quality reviewer.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in German and evaluate narration quality, naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment.
• Identify and document skipped, added, or mispronounced words; incorrectly read numbers; wrongly expanded abbreviations; unnatural phrasing or intonation; and audio glitches or artifacts.
• Classify issues and mark their exact location using review tools.
• Report overall listener satisfaction, including where narration feels convincing and where it disrupts the experience.
• Maintain close attention to detail while reviewing extended amounts of audio.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native German fluency for Germany.
• Regular audiobook listening experience and a clear understanding of what makes narration effective.
• Working English sufficient to communicate clearly and submit reports.
• Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or similarly detail-oriented review work.
• A patient, discerning ear and the ability to remain accurate during long listening sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work on AI training data, model evaluation, or audio quality assurance annotation projects.
• Experience in language, editing, voice, or audio production.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly, part-time engagement.
• Approximately 20 hours per week, or about 4 hours per day.
• Applicants may be located anywhere, with preference for people living in a region where German is natively spoken.

Compensation

15 to 20 per hour.
