Staff Accountant/Bookeeper

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a Long Island, NY-based boutique CPA firm with a thriving practice, is seeking a Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper. Summary: This firm services a wide array of small to midsized clients in various industries, along with family offices and high net worth individuals. Their work includes tax compliance and planning, accounting and bookkeeping services and diverse advisory services. Due to continual growth, the firm is looking to add one or more accounting professionals to their team. The firm offers very competitive compensation, an active, fun work culture and significant learning and growth potential.

Skills

• Degree in Accounting is a plus
• CPA, EA or similar distinctions are plusses
• 3+ years of recent public accounting experience in areas of tax, accounting or bookkeeping
• Must be a Long Island resident who is open to working on site in their beautiful, modern Melville office

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
