Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening and Night Shifts | 12-hour shifts (3x12), 8-hour shifts as needed | 3:00 PM–3:30 AM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Perform telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation, including identification of lethal rhythms
• Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as part of standard scheduling expectations

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only – required
• TNCC certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Telemetry examination prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification; up to three attempts permitted under defined conditions)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center Emergency Department
• Familiarity with telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation in both adult and pediatric populations
• Experience floating across units within a large hospital system
