You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.Key responsibilities include:Managing engineers in utilizing techniques to characterize hardware, define methods and new technologies and apply them to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on extremely complex systems for entire range of products for divisionInteracting with key customers to resolve extremely complex process engineering issues to address customers high value problems (HVP) for an entire range of products for the divisionEnsuring effective product/technology demonstrationsManaging experimental tests, evaluating results and escalating critical technology issues to managementDetermining product process specifications and equipment strengths, weaknesses and area of developmental opportunityLeading collaboration efforts with executive managers and junior managers to ensure strategic executionLeading market share improvement effortsFunctional knowledge includes:Demonstrating comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within own job family and knowledge of other related job familiesBusiness expertise includes:Applying in-depth understanding of how own discipline integrates within the segment/functionLeadership includes:Managing multiple related teams, setting organizational priorities and allocating resourcesProblem solving includes:Identifying and resolving complex technical, operational and organizational problemsImpact includes:Impacting the business results of a team or area by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies and developing policies and plansGuided by business unit, department or sub-functional business plansInterpersonal skills include:Influencing others internally and externally, including senior managementPosition requires understanding of Applied Materials global standards of business conduct and compliance with these standards at all times.
