Take on an impactful opportunity supporting students across Porter County as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This travel-friendly, onsite contract position offers the chance to serve diverse learners in a dynamic district environment, while benefiting from district flexibility to accommodate your skills and preferences.

In this role, you’ll work with students from PreK to 12th grade, helping deliver essential speech and language support within dedicated school sites. The district is open to placing professionals based on preferred grade bands or geographic areas, ensuring your caseload aligns with your expertise and interests. Assignments may fluctuate within the district as needs are finalized, so adaptability and collaboration are key.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active SLPA credential or license for Indiana
• Experience in a school-based speech setting or related field preferred
• Ability to adapt to changing building assignments and district coverage
• Commitment to meeting all standard compliance requirements (background check, district clearances)
• Enthusiasm for serving caseloads typically between 80–100 students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across multi-disciplinary teams

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted speech and language interventions and support to assigned students
• Collaborate closely with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families
• Document student progress and maintain accurate, compliant records
• Participate in individualized education plan (IEP) meetings as needed

The district is considering teletherapy as a backup solution, so flexibility with technology is welcome. Grade level and location preferences are taken into account wherever possible, offering you a more tailored assignment.
